Position: Child Care Worker


If you love being around children, watching them learn and grow while having some fun, this may be the job for you.  As a child care worker, you need to be dependable and will be responsible for the daily supervision of the children who reside at the shelter.  Provide activities that will facilitate children’s growth in all areas of their development, taking into account, the needs of each child individually.  Ensuring a safe and healthy environment.  Document and maintain activity logs. 


Qualifications

  • Experience in a childcare setting is an asset, but, not a requirement.
  • Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Checks.
  • Infant CPR and Standard First Aid/AED Certificates or willing to take these courses when offered by the shelter.


***Preference will be given to Land Claims Beneficiary, ability to speak Inuktitut is an asset, but not a requirement. (Bilingual bonus) Competitive Wages and Incentives
